Just under a year ago I decided to transition my Instagram account from use as a social media platform to a photography, digital art and design portfolio. I look at the platform as a creative opportunity to look beyond the individual images to the photo grid as a canvas of sorts. I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to adjust the photos and many of them I would consider closer to graphic design & digital art than true photography. I've enjoyed playing with various color stories, experimenting with principles of composition and developing curated content. Because of this branded content and aesthetic, I've grown my following by 150% in 3 months.
